Who This Course is For...

If you've ever finished a visit knowing there was more going on than you had a way to address, this course gives you somewhere to put that instinct.

The gap usually isn't knowledge. Even with advanced training, it's common to know the science and still be unsure where to start with the particular person in front of you. What's missing isn't more information about what's wrong. It's a way to work on what creates health.

This course teaches that second skill through the lens of integrative nursing and functional medicine. You get structure for organizing what you're seeing, tools you can use inside a real visit, and guidance on where to begin.

Built for practitioners seeking to apply the WholeHealth approach in ways that bring greater fulfillment to their work. Written first for nurse practitioners, and equally usable by physician, physican assistants, chiropractors, pharmacists, psychotherapists, occupational and physical therapists, speech language pathologists, nurses, dietitians, acupuncturists, exercise physiologists, and health coaches.

FREE INTRODUCTION

Start with the free hour.

Introduction to the WholeHealth Model and Method — 60 minutes, no cost, no obligation. It's the clearest way to tell whether this is the training you've been looking for

Do I need functional medicine certification first?

No. The course stands on its own as a foundation in whole-person care, and it also works as a practical complement if you've already trained elsewhere. We find people report this is a helpful training after other integrative or functional medicine training programs because it supports translating what you have learned into practice and provides additional clinical tools.

How much time does it take?

16 hours, self-paced. Most participants work through it over several weeks rather than in one sitting. You have 1 year from time of enrollment to complete the course before it expires.

Does it count for CME or CE?

The course is designated for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ through the Minnesota Medical Association. Many state boards and certifying bodies accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit toward continuing education for non-physician practitioners, but acceptance varies — check with your own board before enrolling if credit is the reason you're taking the course.

I'm not a nurse practitioner. Is it still useful?

Yes. While the course is based in advanced practice nursing and functional medicine concepts and practices, it adapts to any health creation scope of practice. We've taught this material to practitioners from many disciplines, and the feedback has been consistent: it translates. So the course is built for everyone working with patients.
