WHOLEHEALTH METHOD TRAINING
The WholeHealth Method Foundations Training offers practical, high‑impact introductory training for healthcare practitioners who want to bring a WholeHealth lens into any setting. Rooted in more than two decades of Integrative Nursing practice and functional approaches to care, this program teaches the essential skills and most impactful strategies that reliably shift patient outcomes.
This training is designed to complement, not replace, formal functional medicine certification. It is not affiliated with or a substitute for the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) or its certification programs. For practitioners who have completed IFM training, the WholeHealth Method offers a practical, nursing-grounded framework for applying integrative principles in everyday practice. For those who have not pursued formal functional medicine training, it serves as an accessible foundation in whole-person care that can stand on its own or prepare you for deeper study later.
At the center of the training is the WholeHealth Model—an integrative, systems‑oriented framework now published in the 2025 Integrative Nursing textbook from Oxford University Press. The model gives practitioners a clear way to understand the interconnected drivers of health, guide clinical decisions, and partner with patients in meaningful behavior change.
Topics covered in the Foundations Training include WholeHealth approaches to the following:
-
Nutrition
-
Digestion
-
Blood Sugar Balance
-
Sleep
-
Movement
-
Mind-Body Connection
-
Thyroid Function
-
Hormone Balance
-
Impactful Lab Analysis
-
Safe and Pragmatic Supplementation
All of these topics are contextualized within potential relational and environmental influences.
Participants also get a WholeHealth Toolkit with resources to use on "Monday morning," including patient handouts and smartphrases.
Designed for advanced practice nursing but adaptable to any discipline, this training has supported physician assistants, pharmacists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, nurses, dietitians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, health coaches, exercise physiologists and physicians.
Participants leave with a practical, adaptable approach they can use confidently and immediately within their scope of practice.
The WholeHealth Method Foundations course will be available Fall 2026! Contact us to be notified!
